Passport Renewal

Global Allianz Immigration consultants will prepare and file all the required forms and documents for passport renewal.

If you already have a U.S. passport but it is about to expire, then you should renew it. Unlike when you first apply for a U.S. passport where you have to apply in person, U.S. passport renewals can be done by mail. If You Are Renewing Your U.S. Passport from Inside the United States you must submit Form DS-82, Application for a U.S. Passport by Mail, in order to renew your U.S. passport.

The requirements for the US passport renewal application are:

1. You can submit your most recent passport AND

2. You were at least 16 years old when your most recent passport was issued AND

3.You were issued your most recent passport in the last 15 years AND

4. You use the same name as on your most recent passport or since your passport was issued, you have had your named changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation to reflect your name change.

DS-82 cannot be used to renew passports for minors nor to apply to replace a lost passport. If you have an official passport and want to apply for a regular tourist passport for the first time, you must apply for a new passport by submitting Form DS-11.
